Gloucestershire resident Bill Trower has been a volunteer Mobile Chemotherapy Unit driver for Hope for Tomorrow since 2010, helping deliver Units around the country and also taking Units to events that we host or attend as a charity.
Bill is a retired fireman, and enjoys feeling useful whilst helping others for what he says is “a really worthy cause”.
“Having experienced the effects of cancer with both family and close friends, it is a subject very close to my heart and, I am happy to be able to give some of my time to support such a worthy cause.
I felt it was a great honour to be considered for this Award and to become an Ambassador for Hope For Tomorrow. I look forward to assisting whenever possible in the good work carried out by the Charity this year and beyond.”
Bill received his Ambassador award from HRH The Princes Royal, during her visit to our next generation Mobile Chemotherapy Unit at Cheltenham General Hospital, in September 2015.
