Charity Founder , Christine Mills, awarded an MBE

Hope for Tomorrow founder Christine Mills has been awarded an MBE for charitable services to Healthcare in Gloucestershire in the New Year 2012 Honours List.

Christine founded Hope for Tomorrow in 2003 after losing her husband David to Cancer.  The charity helps to bring chemotherapy treatment closer to home through our Mobile Chemotherapy Unit project.

Christine launched the world's first Mobile Chemotherapy Unit in 2007 in Gloucestershire.  In a unique partnership the charity owns and maintains the units and provides them to the NHS to operate.

We currently have unit's in operation in Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Somerset.  A unit for Wiltshire will be launched very shortly.

We are thrilled that Christine's tireless efforts to improve the experience of patients needing chemotherapy treatment has been recognised - well done Christine!
