An Evening with the Legends of Le Mans 2017

Once again, we are hosting this unique and truly fabulous event to celebrate the 24-hour Le Mans car race– the most famous and prestigious endurance sports car race in the world. You can join legendary drivers past and present on Thursday 18th May 2017 at The Hurlingham Club at a unique black tie dinner event.
The evening will begin with a drinks reception in the magnificent grounds and glass-domed Palm Court and Orangery of The Hurlingham Club. Guests will be invited to mix with Le Mans drivers whilst viewing a showcase of iconic Le Mans racing cars which will be displayed both outside and inside the building.
At last year’s event Ford, returning to Le Mans 50 years after the famous 1-2-3 in 1966, showcased its new Ford GT car as well as the Ford Road car, unseen before in the UK. Other cars on display originated from the early 1930s to present day and included Bentley, Ferrari, Porsche 962 and Aston Martin. Drivers attending included Hope for Tomorrow patrons David Richards CBE, Ross Brawn OBE, five-times race winner Derek Bell MBE and Martin Brundle.
Throughout the evening, which is supported by Ford and the Media Partner is The Daily Telegraph, the French Le Mans-inspired theme will include vintage footage and special VIP guests.
Simon Taylor, renowned motor racing journalist known for his in-depth interviews, will ask the drivers during dinner to share with guests their inspirational, witty and surprising anecdotes from the world of Le Mans. Jonathan Legard, sports presenter and journalist, will host the event as Master of Ceremonies.
To conclude the evening Jeffrey Archer will host a ‘money can’t buy’ motor racing-related Live Auction.
Tickets are priced at £145 per person, £1,400 per table of 10 guests and £1,750 for a Driver Hosted table for 12 (which includes the driver and his guest).
