Sir Stirling Moss OBE

Striling & Susie Moss

Sir Stirling Moss OBE, British motor racing legend became a professional driver at the age of 18, with a career spanning 3 decades; winning over 200 races, including 16 formula 1 Grand Prix victories. He worked with both Jaguar and HWM and more famously with Mercedes-Benz partnering with legend Juan Manuel Fangio. In 2000 he was made Knight Bachelor for his services to motor racing.

His wife Lady Moss is also a great supporter of the charity.  The Somerset Mobile Chemotherapy Unit is named Bumble after her late mother.

We are very proud to have Stirling and Susie as founder patrons of our charity which is very close to their hearts. They raise funds in many ways including appearing on ‘Celebrity Cash in the Attic’ and ‘Celebrity Mr and Mrs’!

Sir Jack Brabham OBE

Sir Jack Brabham

Sir Jack Brabham OBE was the first driver in history to be knighted for his services to motorsport and not only a 3 time world champion but the only driver to win a world Formula 1 title in a car of his own construction. His career dated from the early 50’s to 1970 in which he sealed 15 grand prix victories.

We are honoured to have Jack as one of our Patrons.

Dr David English CBE MBE OSCA

Former President of RSO Records and Manager of the Bee Gees, David is Vice President of the English Schools Cricket Association (ESCA) and Captain of the legendary charity celebrity 'Bunbury' cricket team, which he founded in 1986. Each year David stages the Bunbury Festival, the most important week for under 15 cricketers in this Country.

As well as being Club Captain of Finchley Cricket Club, David has played for the M.C.C., Middlesex County Cricket Club and The Cross Arrows at Lords, and is the first President of Berkshire Youth Cricket, and a Lords Taverner.

Derek Bell MBE

Derek Bell

Derek Bell MBE, also raced in Formula 1, but more memorably in sports cars, winning 2 world championships, 5 times the Le Mans 24 hour race and 3 times at the Daytona 24 hours. He also took part in the filming of ‘Le Mans’ with Steve McQueen, and was awarded an MBE in 1986 for his services to motorsport.

We are proud to have Derek as one of our Patrons, and his family are very active within our charity.

Lady MacLaurin

Lady Maclaurin

Paula MacLaurin had her own publishing company in the early 1970's producing newsletters Business Ideas Letter and Bricks & Mortar, also a mail order book company. She met Christine and  David when she rented her offices to them in 1979 and soon became close friends with them both.

She has been a committee member for a number of charities including for Birthright and later for The National Autistic Society.
